Sept 24 – Girls Aviation Day Young Eagles Event – The next event that people can volunteer for is Saturday, September 24th in St Paul. I and my co-lead Brad Johnson (for this big event), have several pilots (7 so far) and ground crew (15 or more so far) that have signed up to help with the St Paul Downtown Airport Young Eagles on Saturday, September 24th.
It runs 9 am to 4 pm. There are about 1,000 kids and parents signed up for the Girls in Aviation Day expo. We will fly some of the kids that day, hopefully 200 or more. We had 209 kids get rides last year. We will work out of the Terminal building on the north side of the airport.
The areas that people can help with for ground crew inside and outside are registration help, pilot/kid escort to and from the planes, plane marshall/ramp help, and youth aviation education. Let me know if you are interested. Volunteers will be provided with lunch and refreshments.
Brad created a survey for pilots and a survey for ground crew to get their contact info and see what areas they want to help in. He will schedule the pilots and ground crew for that day. Please follow the link for the pilot survey. If you have trouble, please let Brad know at [email protected] or his phone 612-695-6112, you can leave a message for him.

Signature Flight Support has stepped up to provide a substantial fuel discount for Full Service fuel at KSTP. 100LL will be available, Full Service, for $4.18 for Young Eagles pilots. If anything should change in that regard (wholesale price spike), Brad will let pilots know.
