April Chapter Activities
Wednesday, April 17, 2013 – Chapter Meeting – BBQ Grill and Pot Luck at 6:00 pm. Business Meeting at 7:00 pm. Speaker at 7:30 pm.
Dr. Elizabeth Weber, an orthopedic surgeon specializing in orthopedic trauma and limb lengthening for disabled children at Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare will discuss high reliability standards and their importance in making our flying safer. Libby served as a U.S. Air Force pilot and flight instructor and flew more than 50 combat missions during the Persian Gulf conflict. We are in for a real treat.
Thursday, April 18, 2013 – Ch. 25 Board Mtg. – Perkins Restaurant , 494 & France, 7:00 pm.
Saturday, April 20, 2013 – Young Eagle event. Contact Bill Brown, Young Eagles Coordinator, to volunteer to help with the Young Eagles. Ground crew are always needed. Bill will put you to work as a pilot’s assistant or as a teacher of aviation principles to kids.
Dale Johnson Induction into MN Aviation Hall of Fame – The banquet will be held at the Ramada Mall of America, 2300 American Blvd. in Bloomington, just north of the Mall of America. Social hour at 4:45 pm, banquet seating at 6:15 pm. Contact Pete Gavin 612-866-6676.
Wednesday, April 24, 2013 – Ch. 25 Pietenpol Build Project – All Chapter 25 members are invited to come and work on the Ch. 25 Pietenpol Building Project. Learn the art and craft of building a homebuilt airplane from Ch. 25 members who have hours of experience building airplanes. We are working at Dale Johnson’s shop. Contact Kim V.
