This month we’ll be meeting at Chapter 25 member Patrick Hoyt’s home to see the progress on his Zenith 601. Like last time, this will be an informal and relaxed atmosphere where people can feel free roam around the house and garage at will. Mary and Pat will cook up a batch of sloppy joes and provide the buns, plates, and utensils. Chapter members should bring sodas, chips, and dessert, etc.. to share.

Here is a Google Map showing Pat’s house.

Here are directions from 494:

  1. Get to I-35E Southbound
  2. Take Yankee Doodle Rd exit. Get in 2nd lane from the right.
  3. Turn right onto “Yankee Doodle Rd”. (heading westbound)
  4. Go straight through the first stoplight which is “Pilot Knob Rd”. Get into the left lane.
  5. Turn left at the stoplight onto “Federal Dr”
  6. Federal Dr becomes “Blackhawk Hills Rd.”
  7. Bear right on Blackhawk Hills Rd

Chapter 25 member Mike Schoen was recently on KSTP discussing the negative impact of user fees on Angel Flight operations. Since Mike’s story aired, the FAA reauthorization act was passed funding the FAA through 2012 without user fees. Efforts such as Mike’s definitely make a difference!
