This month’s Chapter meeting is on Wednesday, 5/15/2019.  - This month’s meeting will be at our Chapter hangar, the Bert Sisler Aviation Education Center (BSAEC) at Airlake Airport in Lakeville, MN. Potluck BBQ begins at 6 pm, business meeting at 7 pm followed by two presentations beginning at 7:30 pm. Bring a dish to pass and $5 to cover Chapter cost for the meat and staples. All aviation enthusiasts are welcome!

The first presentation will be led by member Gene Poole. Gene has some students coming who will be bring the wind tunnel they built as well as a couple of other projects they have worked on. The purpose is to showcase the AOPA high school curriculum they have begun at their school and to receive feedback from Chapter 25 members about how they might improve their wind tunnel. This is the first year of the aviation program at the school. It is to be expanded further next year.

The second presenter will be Mark Korin with AOA Systems. AOA Systems makes angle of attack sensors and systems for aircraft as well as other products for aviation.

  • Wednesday, May 15 – Chapter Mtg, 6pm – 9pm, BSAEC
  • Wednesday, May 18 – Young Eagles, 9am – noon, BSAEC

Wednesday Evenings* – Ch. 25 Pietenpol Build Project - All Chapter 25 members are invited to come and work on the Ch. 25 Pietenpol Building Project. Learn the art and craft of building a homebuilt airplane from Ch. 25 members who have hours of experience building airplanes. We are working at Dale Johnson’s (MAHOF) shop. Contact Kim V. *unless notified otherwise and with the exception of the 3rd Wednesday of the month, which is Chapter 25 Meeting night.
