Chapter 25 Pilots fly Over 50 Young Eagles at Airlake

YE81906.jpgOn Saturday, August 19th, our Young Eagle pilots flew 51 young people from our Chapter Hangar at Airlake. Pictured is Young Eagle pilot  Gary Rosch with three new Young Eagles.  Also participating in the event was Bob Warner, Executive Vice President – Membership. Bob is also a Young Eagle pilot, and was visiting the Twin Cities for the Sport Pilot Tour, and to meet with chapter leaders.

EAA Sport Pilot Tour is Big Success in Minneapolis

PICT0909.JPGThe EAA Sport Pilot Tour came to Airlake (KLVN) on Saturday, August 19th. Over 500 people attended this first-time event. The Tour brings the information and tools needed to better understand this new recreational aviation opportunity. Highlights included sport pilot forums, education for flight instructors, plus light-sport aircraft manufacturer’s displays and demonstrations. Chapter 25 members were the hosts of this event, and were assisted by Chapter 237, which provided breakfast and lunch to visitors. Aircraft Resource Center was the airport host, and they were assisted by Airlake’s Civil Air Patrol group. Thanks to all who participated!
